Radio Shack Meter Upgrade
This describes how to take the classic analog panel meter from Radio Shack and convert it into a meter style of your choice, along with a new meter face.  The original meter is a 1ma movement but is supplied with a series resistance and meter scale for a 0-15 VDC meter.  The page is here.


High Voltage Pulsers and Spark Generators
Here are two projects at a high-school skill level, and available in kit form, for producing high voltage sparks.  These spark generators were originally designed to be used as igniters for a Potato Cannon, but are good for high voltage breakdown measurements and for experiments in basic radio wave transmission using Hertzian-type transmitter/receiver pairs.  Good soldering skills are required.
